This play is getting weird, just like yesterday's. Let's dive into my pick, predictions, and odds for these games.

This is our weirdest play of the year, but I love it. First off, the Shohei Ohtani leg is under “Pitcher Props” and then all the way to the right under “H2H Props”. This juice reducer makes so much sense and perfectly helps us avoid the -180 juice on the main leg with Tony Gonsolin.
Ohtani has thrown a first-inning strikeout in 17 out of 18 starts and gets a Pittsburgh Pirates team that has K’d in the first inning in 12 of their last 13 games. These hit rates are amazing signs, and Ohtani is first up between him and Johan Oviedo. We just need one first-inning K to bring us home. In theory, we could cash this in the second inning if there are zero Ks throughout both pitchers in the first, but I like Ohtani to help us quickly.
Our main leg is Tony Gonsolin o14.5 Outs. This number is so disrespectful. He has hit this in 10 of his last 11 starts. Gonsolin only threw 54 pitches in his last start, but that was due to the humidity and nothing to do with injury. The Texas Rangers are a tough matchup but rank near league average in pitches per plate appearance. I like Gonsolin to allow two or three runs and go exactly five innings again.
Since Gonsolin is the main leg here, and I see it for -175 on Barstool, but this DraftKings juice reducer is my favorite of the bunch. If you want to tail but don’t have DraftKings, try to take Gonsolin with a juice reducer of your own that you researched. Perhaps an alt line on a game spread of +4.5 or +3.5. Let's keep it rolling!
