Well, we have a loaded MLB slate tonight, and I see money to be made all across the board, so I am ready to dive in. The first wager we are getting into tonight is a money line parlay I love at good value on the early games this evening, so let's get down to it.
MLB Parlay Picks
Leg 1 Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Both of these starting pitchers are well-known names in the league with solid track records, but these arms and teams are trending in the opposite directions right now. Mitch Keller has a strong 9-6 record and has probably been the best arm in the Pirates rotation this season, but he has gotten shelled lately and historically by the Phillies. Keller is sporting an ERA north of seven this month after a few consecutive poor outings, and tonight, he faces the interstate rivals who are slashing .458/.508/.881 against him for an absurdly high slash line of 1.388. Zach Wheeler has been excellent, per usual, and I expect a strong start from him. I love Philly to dominate tonight and get on Keller early.
Leg 2 New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals
While it is quite obvious this is not the season the Mets were hoping to be having at this point in the year, these teams are still quite drastically trending in opposite directions right now, and I expect one squad to take advantage of that tonight. Washington is rebuilding and has no playoff aspirations whatsoever, and while the Mets' playoff hopes do not look great at the moment, we know where their aspirations lie. They want to win now and will make moves to make that happen if given a reason to. Veteran Max Scherzer has the ball tonight, and I love him anytime he has the ball at home. In 74 at-bats against, Mad Max has held current Washington hitters to a lowly .176/.247/.255 slash line.
