Christian Yelich to Record 2+ Hits
I love the spot today for Christian Yelich. Yelich has had great success throughout his career playing at Nationals Park, hitting .335 in 48 total games and going for 2+ hits in four of the last seven games with 3+ plate appearances. His matchup today is against Jake Irvin, who is allowing a high AVG to left-handed batters this season (.280 AVG). Below are some more reasons I like Yelich today.
- High chance of 5+ PAs – 2+ hits in 11 of the Last 20 games with 5+ plate appearances
- .372/.258/.325 AVGs versus Irvin’s top three pitches to left-handed batters (versus right-handed pitching)
- .319 AVG in July
Ronald Acuna Jr. to Record 2+ Hits
I’m also taking Ronald Acuna Jr. for two hits today. Acuna is swinging a hot bat right now and has been all season. He has 2+ hits in five of his last seven games, and we will see another great matchup for him. Griffin Canning will be on the mound for the Angels, and he has been prone to base hits from right-handed batters, allowing a .275 AVG against them versus .209 AVG versus left-handed batters. Below are a few more reasons I like Acuna today.
- .370/.343 expected AVGs versus Canning’s top 2 pitches to right-handed batters (versus right-handed pitching)
- 2+ hits in 11 of the Last 12 Games with 2+ total bases
- .458 AVG versus right-handed pitching since July 22nd
Fernando Tatis Jr. to Record 2+ Hits
The final leg of the parlay is Fernando Tatis. Jr. to record two hits. This is a great spot for Tatis. He is extremely likely to see 5+ plate appearances, with it being a road game at Coors Field and a total of 11.5. Austin Gomber is on the mound and is a great matchup for Tatis. He went 1 for 2 with a double against him earlier this year and is hitting .321 against left-handed pitching since July 1st. Below are more reasons I like him for 2+ hits today.
- 2+ hits in three of three games at Coors Field this Season
- .365 career AVG at Coors Field
- .423/.174/.364 AVG versus Gomber’s top 3 pitches to right-handed batters (versus left-handed pitching)
- Gomber .315 Home AVG allowed this season
- Gomber ranks in the bottom fourth percentile in expected AVG this season
