Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction: Will We See Fireworks in Chicago?
I talked myself out of taking the over in this matchup last night and just stuck to my wagers on sides, and although we did cash there, I am going to the total tonight as well. The Cincinnati Reds hold a two-game lead in the National League Central and will clash with their divisional opponent Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field tonight in the second game of this three-game series. Cincinnati was able to hold off a late charge by Chicago last night in a 6-5 victory.

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction
With Marcus Stroman and Andrew Abbott on the mound last night, I was hard-pressed to still take the over despite wanting to, so I did not, but they cashed it with ease. The over has now hit in six straight games between these squads, and although they once again have some talented arms on the mound tonight, I am riding with the total.
Justin Steele has the ball for Chicago and is the arm that would cause some concern in my eyes tonight. Steele is coming off a strong outing against the St. Louis Cardinals and heads into the start with a 2.76 ERA to go along with a strong 11-3 record on the season.
Cincinnati has been swinging the sticks well and has scored a lot of runs this weekend. I do not think they just roll over and let Steele walk all over them tonight. With that said, Chicago is now coming off of back-to-back losses after a strong series in which they dominated St. Louis. I love Chicago to make this series competitive tonight, and I think we will see runs once again.
