Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Friday

We lost two strikeout props by the hook last night. Therefore, we only finished 1-2 and ended the streak of winning days.

But that means it's time to start a new streak tonight!

Here are three strikeout props to consider for tonight's slate in the MLB.

August 25 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Braxton Garrett Under 5.5 Ks (-154) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Braxton Garrett's strikeout rate dropped from 24.9% on the season to 18.3% over the last 30 days.

He's looked good otherwise. He's held teams to a .121 ISO and wOBA of .290, earning over 59% of ground balls. However, he's only thrown an average of 84.8 pitches per start over the last 30 days.

He's also facing a Nationals lineup that has only struck out 14.3% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days. Only one batter has struck out more than 21.1% of the time against lefties in the previous 30 days using the Washington projected lineup.

It'll be hard for Garrett to get six strikeouts, especially since it's unlikely he'll even go six innings.

Cole Irvin Over 4.5 Ks (-112) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Cole Irvin has struck out 25.4% of batters over the last 30 days. That's significantly up from 20.5% of strikeouts this season.

Irvin has kept walks to 4.5% and has held teams to a .145 ISO and wOBA of .291 over the last month. Irvin had been coming out of the bullpen for a while. However, he's started in his previous two appearances and worked up to nearly 80 pitches in his last start.

He'll face a Colorado lineup that has struck out 27.8% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days. Only three batters in that lineup have struck out under 26% of the time against lefties.

With six targets and potentially six innings to work with, I like Irvin to earn at least five strikeouts tonight.

Dane Dunning Over 5.5 Ks (+114) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Dane Dunning has earned 29.4% of strikeouts over the last 30 days. He's literally struck out nearly 36% of righties faced in the previous month.

In Minnesota, he'll face a Twins lineup that has struck out 31.5% of the time against righties. There's not a single batter in that Minnesota projected lineup that has struck out lower than 23.5% of the time against righties.

The Twins should have a balanced lineup of righties and lefties. Dunning has a more significant advantage against righties. However, he's still struck out over 22.5% of lefties in the last month.

The Twins are boom or bust. They'll either hit with power or strike out. Dunning has limited teams to a .162 ISO and wOBA of .295 over the last month. You can expect more strikeouts than hard-hit balls tonight against Dunning.
