Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics Best Bet: Can George Kirby, Mariners Keep Rolling?

Well, for our first play today, we are going right back to the spot from last night that cashed easily for us, and I knew we were taking the moment I woke up this morning (I actually am writing this article in the ninth inning of the game right now) and I am ready to dive in. The Oakland Athletics are in town for an American League clash with the Seattle Mariners, and I expect the result to be very similar to the series opener on Monday night.

Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction

George Kirby has been excellent for the Mariners this season and is one of the league's starters that truly throws the ball better at home, it seems. Kirby is sporting a strong 3.28 ERA and has the ability to go throw six or seven scoreless every time he touches the mound. Tonight, he has some extra motivation; this is a team he can dominate and has before. On the flip side, Ken Waldichuk is sporting a 7.43 ERA on the road this season, with one of the worst bullpens in baseball behind him.

I just do not see how Oakland can play with any real passion in this one, especially against a team showing a ridiculous amount of grit and heart right now. Seattle has been on a terror the last two months, and any team that has tried to beat them on their own turf has seen how fierce the battle is. Seattle has won 12 of 13 and 20 of their last 24 games, and they keep rolling after the shutout.
