Jake Irvin has struck out 22.7% of batters in the last 30 days. He's also struck out just 18.8% of batters this season.
Irvin isn't known for his strikeout stuff. He's just earning a lot of strikeouts against righties lately.
However, the Marlins' projected lineup has more lefties than righties. The lineup has also struck out just 19% of the time against righties in the last month. Asking Irvin to earn about a strikeout per inning is absurd. Plus, I highly doubt he gets through six innings against a Marlins team with plenty of lefties that can hit for power.
