Clayton Kershaw is pitching like he took a time machine back to his prime. The 35-year-old lefty hasn’t given up more than one run in any outing since June 14th. He won’t be the only lefty tonight getting the starting nod. Jesus Luzardo, the 25-year-old left-hander, is currently pitching at his best. The young stud hasn’t allowed a run in his last two starts. Which lefty will come out of this pitcher's duel victorious?

Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
The Dodgers are coming off what seems like their first series loss of the season, dropping three of four to the Atlanta Braves in LA. This might be the first time since the All-Star Break that the Dodgers feel beatable, coming off a loss in a highly anticipated series in what many were calling a preview of the NLCS.
The Marlins are getting hot at the right time, winners of four in a row. Don’t count the fish out just yet, they are only half a game out of the final Wildcard spot. Tonight, they have their best starting pitcher (when he’s on) on the mound in an attempt to keep their win streak rolling.
When Jesus Luzardo is locked in, he is one of the best-starting pitchers in baseball. Here’s the problem: he is extremely inconsistent. The young starter goes through spurts where he’s “unhittable” one month, and he can’t find the zone the next month. Right now, Luzardo is dialed; this is when we want to be backing him.
I’m not saying you should fade the best team in baseball tonight with the Marlins ML. What I am saying is both pitchers are locked in right now, and they should significantly limit the opposing lineups. The Dodgers were one one of the hottest stretches we’ve seen this season, before dropping three in a row to the Braves: if there’s any time to fade this offense, it’s tonight when they’ve lost at some confidence.
This total is low in this matchup, and for good reason. Nobody is rushing to bet an u7.5 with the Dodgers offense involved. Throw in the “red-hot” Marlins offense that’s stepped up over the last four games, and you’ve got an under nobody wants to touch. I’m not scared of a low total; if anything, I prefer it. The total is that low for a reason. With less than 20% of bets and over 50% of handle backing this under, it appears that only the sharps/big bettors are locking this play in. Ride with the sharps, and bet the under in this pitchers duel tonight.
