MLB Player Props Today - Wednesday's Dodgers vs. Marlins Ladder Play
I like Freddie Freeman today for a multi-hit game. Freddie Freeman has gone five straight games without a multi-hit game, and I think that changes tonight. The reason for Freddie’s recent struggles has been because he has been striking out more over the last four games (seven total).
He will likely see Bryan Hoeing today (bulk reliever after JT Chargois opens), who ranks in the 21st percentile in strikeout percentage, so I don’t imagine Freddie will have the same issues there. Freeman has been incredible on the road as of late, going for 2+ hits in 13 of the last 19 road games (3+ hits in seven of the last 19, 4+ hits in two of the last 15). He also has played extremely well on Wednesdays as of late, going for 2+ hits in five of the last five games with 3+ in two of those.
He typically plays well at Miami as he has 2+ hits in six of his last eight games (3+ hits in two out of eight games and 4+ hits in one out of eight). Additionally, Freeman is 2 for 3 against Bryan Hoeing in his career, and I expect him to have similar success if that is who the Marlins send out behind Chargois.
I still expect a good game from Freddie regardless of the bulk pitcher, as I think he will see 5+ plate appearances. When he has 5+ plate appearances on the road, Freddie has 3+ Hits in four of the last five games and has 2+ hits in 10 of the last 12 games. I'm expecting a big game from Freddie tonight, so I’m buying low and taking his hits ladder at some great odds on FanDuel.
