Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Thursday

We swept the board last night! There was honestly never a doubt with any of our picks last night.

Logan Gilbert needed six strikeouts and got nine. We had Lance Lynn to go Under 5.5 Ks, and he had just one. Meanwhile, Max Scherzer looked horrible for the Rangers to help us cash an Under on his strikeout prop at +115.

Let's carry that momentum into tonight's small slate.

September 7 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Eduardo Rodriguez Under 5.5 Ks (-138) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Eduardo Rodriguez struck out just 18.6% of righties last month.

He'll face a Yankees lineup that will have nine righties in the lineup tonight.

Those Yankees have only struck out 20.9% of the time and have five batters striking out 15.4% or less against lefties in the last 30 days. The Yankees' bats have small sample sizes against lefties.

However, Rodriguez's sample size against righties includes nearly 100 batters in the last 30 days. It'll be difficult for him to earn at least six strikeouts tonight.

Max Fried Over 5.5 Ks (-108) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Max Fried is another lefty struggling to strike out right-handed batters. But he's got a much better matchup against the Cardinals.

The St. Louis lineup has struck out 24.2% of the time against lefties in the last month. They've also got five batters striking out more than 24% of the time against lefties in the previous 30 days.

Three batters at the bottom of the order have struck out at least 29.4% of the time. One is Nolan Gorman, who is a left-handed bat.

Fried has struck out 50% of lefties over the last 30 days and nearly 31% of lefties throughout the season—lefty Gorman's in trouble, along with the other righties in the lineup. Take Fried to get at least six strikeouts.

Ryne Nelson Under 3.5 Ks (-118) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

Ryne Nelson has struck out just 15.2% of batters throughout the season. In his return to the mound and last time out, he struck out just 12.5% of batters and allowed a .533 ISO and wOBA of .629 his previous time out.

Nelson has given up a .234 ISO and wOBA of .370 to 540 batters this season. He's been bad. Don't expect him to go very deep in this game. He'll likely finish at 75 pitches and maybe get through five innings if lucky. The Cubs have a lot of power potential and have struck out only 17.6% of the time against righties in the last 30 days.

Nelson doesn't have a great matchup tonight. Take his Under.
