The second game I want to dive into on the diamond tonight takes us to the City of Brotherly Love as two of the National League's best teams clash this evening. The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting the Atlanta Braves in what I expect to be a great game tonight, and I am ready to ride with the home team in this one.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction

Anytime you fade the league juggernaut in the Atlanta Braves, you should be weary, but I love this spot for the Phillies tonight. Despite having 15 more wins on the season at 94-50, the Phillies are 14 games above .500 at 79-65, in a strong spot for the wild card right now. Miami is five games back from them trying to make a push, so taking care of business against the divisional team ahead of you is important if you can tonight, and luckily, the Phillies have the matchup advantage here in the rubber match of this three-game series.

Max Fried and Zach Wheeler have faced opposing hitters tonight in bunches over the last few seasons, and the sample size on these splits is strong. Zach Wheeler has held the Braves to a .217/.247/.397 slash line across 217 at-bats while putting up an absolutely phenomenal K/BB ratio at 64-8.

On the flip side, Southpaw Max Fried has struggled in his career against the Phillies, and they are sporting a .289/.348/.503 slash line against him. Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto, and Trea Turner are all sporting an OPS north of .945 against him, which means the top of the lineup should be trouble for Fried tonight. I love this spot for the home team to get it done, and getting this at plus money feels like a steal.
