There are only nine games on the MLB slate tonight. However, seven of those games will still be played at night.
I looked at those seven matchups and found three of my favorite home run props for the night.
September 21 Best MLB Home Run Props
Spencer Torkelson to Hit a Home Run (+470) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick
I went with Spencer Torkelson last night, and he didn't come through. The second time's a charm!
At least, I hope.
Torkelson has hit a .154 ISO against his last 89 righties.
Tonight. He'll take on Luia Medina of the Athletics, who has allowed a .286 ISO and wOBA of .455 against his last 25 righties. Medina has been horrible against righties throughout the year, giving up a .226 ISO and wOBA of .351 to 253 righties this season.
Torkelson has hit a high rate of fly balls and line drives against righties in the last month. That should continue tonight against Medina.
Max Muncy to Hit a Home Run (+390) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick
Kyle Harrison will take the mound for the Giants tonight. He's a left-handed rookie, giving up a .458 ISO and wOBA of .637 to lefties this season.
He's only faced 29 lefties in his MLB career. But he's earned no strikeouts and has allowed 33.3% of line drives to those 29 lefties.
Meanwhile, Max Muncy has hit a .257 ISO and wOBA of .343 against his last 36 lefties.
I don't typically ride with lefty-on-lefty matchups. But Muncy's the exception. Muncy hasn't hit many ground balls against lefties and has hit over 62% of hard contact. He's got a great matchup against Harrison tonight.
Mike Yastrzemski to Hit a Home Run (+450) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick
We'll stay in the same game between the Dodgers and the Giants.
Emmet Sheehan will take the hill for the Dodgers. He's a rookie, but this time, a right-hander on the Dodgers.
Sheehan has allowed a .247 ISO and wOBA of .353 to his first 106 righties faced this season. Against his last 25 lefties, the right-hander has allowed a .273 ISO and wOBA of .393.
Sheehan has only struck out 20% of lefties in the last month, and he's given up 35.3% of fly balls and 35.3% of line drives to just 23.5% of ground balls induced against lefties over the last 30 days.
Meanwhile, Mike Yastrzemski has smacked a .333 ISO and wOBA of .443 against his last 54 righties. Yastrzemski has struck out only 18.5% of the time against righties and has hit 50% of hard contact with nearly 28% of fly balls and line drives.
I'll take a chance on Yaz.
