Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins Prediction: Can Sonny Gray, Twins Advance to ALDS?

Well the second game we are going to dive into today takes us to Twin Cities as the Toronto Blue Jays face the Minnesota Twins in what could possibly be the last game of their season. I had no money on this game yesterday. The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the most confusing teams in all of sports for me and I feel like I can never get a great read on them but we are not reading them here, we are reading the Twins.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins Prediction

Sonny Gray has been throwing the ball very well lately sporting great numbers heading into this start and is a veteran with plenty of experience so I know he will not get rattled out there today. With a lead in the series and getting the ball at home, he should be very comfortable and ready to go here today.

Gray has faced this Blue Jays lineup plenty and is sporting strong numbers against them with nearly 100 at bats for a sample size. They are slashing .194/.299/.342 against him with a 13/24 BB/K ratio. If he can keep the walks down today I really like him to go out there and put up a good quality start. I really love the way the Twins played yesterday and getting to go back to their home field today for an afternoon game is a huge advantage. Toronto has a big task ahead of them now and turning that switch mentally could be hard to do overnight and with less time on the schedule. I think Minnesota gets the playoff monkey off their back here and completes the sweep this afternoon.
