We've got two Game 2 NLDS games on the MLB slate tonight.
The Phillies-Braves matchup will begin at 6:07 pm ET, while the Diamondbacks-Dodgers game will start at 9:07 pm ET.
We've got four quality pitchers set to take center stage. How will those four pitchers fare tonight?
I've got three strikeout props to consider for tonight's MLB slate.
October 9 Best MLB Strikeout Props
Zack Wheeler Under 5.5 Ks (-142) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Zack Wheeler has struck out just 23.5% of batters in the last month. That's down from 27% of strikeouts this season.
I tend to think that trend will continue tonight.
The Braves' projected lineup has only struck out 18.1% of the time against righties. Only Austin Riley has struck out more than 20.7% of the time against righties in the lineup.
Wheeler will likely face more lefties than righties in the lineup tonight. He's only struck out 19.7% of lefties this season. Those lefties have combined to strike out just 17.1% of the time.
Take his Under.
Max Fried Over 4.5 Ks (-128) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Max Fried has struck out 31% of batters in the last 30 days. That's with a sample size of just 42 plate appearances. But that still proves a point.
The Phillies have three batters striking out at least 36.4% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days. That includes Kyle Schwarber, Bryson Stott, and Johan Rojas.
Fried needs five strikeouts and usually pitches quality starts regularly. If he goes six innings, you'd have to imagine that Fried can get to five strikeouts.
He might give up some power to righties like Nick Castellanos, Alec Bohm, and Trea Turner. But he'll pitch out of trouble and rack up strikeouts against some of the bottom of the order.
Take his Over.
Bobby Miller Over 5.5 Ks (+122) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The Dodgers need a major outing out of Bobby Miller tonight.
I think he's up to the task.
He'll take on a Diamondbacks lineup that has hit a .136 ISO and wOBA of .296 against righties in the last 30 days. Only Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte have hit above-average against righties in the previous month.
However, both of those two are lefties. Miller has held lefties to a .069 ISO and wOBA of .265 over the last 30 days. He's struggled with power against righties, but only Chrisitan Walker has shown any kind of power against righties in the previous 30 days for Arizona.
Miller has also struck out 29.9% of batters in the last 30 days. He'll face an Arizona lineup with eight batters striking out at least 19.7% of the time.
He has a lot of potential tonight and should stay in the game for at least five innings. I think Miller will get a quality start and throw six. One strikeout per inning is very doable.
