Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins Prediction

Houston took Game 1 at home, led by a strong offensive effort sparked by two home runs from Yordan Alvarez.

Game 2 was all Minnesota from the start.

Ace Pablo Lopez was untouchable, pitching seven scoreless innings and allowing just six hits.

Carlos Correa got revenge on his old team, leading the Twins with three hits and making the play of the game to throw out his replacement, Jeremy Pena.

Yordan Alvarez again led the way for the Astros in Game 2, blasting a home run to drive in the team's only runs.

Today's game is the swing game, as it will go a long way in determining who wins this series and advances to the ALCS.

Dusty Baker will hand the ball to right-handed Cristian Javier. Javier went 10-5 with an ERA of 4.36.

Veteran Sonny Gray will toe the rubber for the Twins. Gray went 8-8 with an ERA of 2.79 during the regular season. Gray pitched five scoreless innings against the Blue Jays in the wildcard series.

Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins Pick

Houston remains the best offense in baseball in my eyes.

This is an experienced offense that has loads of postseason experience, which goes a long way this time of year.

Houston has encouraging numbers against Gray.

Jose Altuve is hitting .333 against Gray in 36 at-bats. Michael Brantley is hitting .300 against Gray in 20 at-bats. Alex Bregman is hitting .300 in ten at bats against Gray.

Javier has not given up one hit against this current Twins lineup in 15 at-bats.
