The Texas Rangers don't match up well against lefties.
Over 30 days, the Rangers' projected lineup has hit a .076 ISO with a wOBA of .282. They've also struck out 28.7% of the time, with five batters striking out at least 25% of the time.
Meanwhile, Framber Valdez, a lefty, has struck out 27.8% of batters in the last month. That's up from 24.7% of batters this season.
I expect a big night from Valdez. If he can give the Astros six innings, I think six strikeouts are in the cards.

The Diamondbacks will send out Zac Gallen for tonight's matchup against the Phillies. Gallen has struck out 24.6% of batters over the last month, which is lower than his season's average of 25.3%.
But I'm not worried. He's facing a Phillies lineup that is boom or bust. So, while Gallen might allow a home run or two, he'll also rack up strikeouts. The Phillies have struck out 24% of the time as a lineup against righties in the last month.
That projected lineup has seven batters striking out at least 22.8% of the time against righties. Gallen has plenty of targets. Take his Over.

Against Zac Gallen, it'll be Zack Wheeler, who has struck out 28.8% of batters in the last 30 days.
Wheeler's strikeout numbers have increased, specifically against lefties. He went from 22.1% of strikeouts to lefties this season to 23.1% of strikeouts in the last month.
That will help against batters like Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, and Alek Thomas.
The Diamondbacks have all nine batters striking out at least 16.1% of the time against righties. They've also got six batters striking out at least 19.6% of the time against righties.
The lineup for Arizona doesn't look outstanding on paper. They've got four batters struggling for power and five struggling to get on base against righties over the last 30 days.
