We're down to one game left in the NLCS.
The Arizona Diamondbacks earned a Game 6 victory over the Phillies on the road and forced Game 7 for a chance at playing in the World Series.
Philadelphia tasted the World Series last season but fell short of a title. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks haven't returned to the World Series since 2001 after winning that year.
It's up to the starters tonight.
Let's discuss the strikeout props for tonight's MLB NLCS Game 7.
October 24 Best MLB Strikeout Props
Brandon Pfaadt Over 4.5 Ks (+130) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Brandon Pfaadt is a rookie right-hander who has exceeded all expectations in the MLB Postseason.
He finished the regular season with a 5.72 ERA. However, in three postseason matchups, he has an ERA of 2.13 and has allowed no runs in his last two starts.
Pfaadt even earned nine strikeouts in 5.2 innings against the Phillies in Game 3 of the NLCS.
Philadelphia has five batters striking out at least 22.9% of the time in the last month against righties. On the other hand, Pfaadt has struck out 32.4% of batters while only walking 1.4%. His composure has allowed him to pitch at a high level.
Even if he throws five innings and allows a couple of runs, I still like Pfaadt to earn at least a strikeout per inning against the Phillies.
Ranger Suarez Under 3.5 Ks (-156) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
On the other hand, Ranger Suarez pitched just as well as Pfaadt in that Game 3 of the NLCS. Suarez, a left-hander, allowed no runs on three hits in 5.1 innings. He also struck out seven batters and walked just one.
But like Pfaadt, he hasn't thrown more than 70 pitches in any start in the postseason.
Suarez has only struck out 22.7% of batters in the last 30 days. That's about on par with what he's done throughout the season, with his 22.3% of strikeouts this year.
The Diamondbacks' lineup has only struck out 18% of the time against lefties. Suarez has a few targets, but Arizona is much more disciplined against lefties. Therefore, I'd grab Suarez's Under despite what he did in Game 3.
