The day has finally come. We've made it to the World Series. Not many people predicted a Rangers-Diamondbacks World Series. While these are the major market teams like Philadelphia or Houston, this series should still be super electric between two teams that didn't even make the postseason last year.
In Game 1, it'll be Arizona's Zac Gallen against Texas' Nathan Eovaldi. Which hitters have the best chance of hitting a home run tonight? I've got a few options and suggestions below.
October 27 Best MLB Home Run Props
Corey Seager to Hit a Home Run (+360) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
While Adolis Garcia will likely be the most-selected Rangers hitter to hit a home run tonight, I'll go a different direction. Zac Gallen has been better against righties than lefties this season. He held righties to a .134 ISO and wOBA of .282, while lefties hit a .175 ISO and wOBA of .325. Corey Seager is a lefty who has smacked a .241 ISO and wOBA of .411 against his last 64 righties. He's also struck out only 12.5% of the time and has hit over 60% of hard contact with a 17.4% barrel percentage. Take a chance on Seager to go deep tonight.
Nathaniel Lowe to Hit a Home Run (+800) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Sticking with the theme of lefties against Gallen, I like Nathaniel Lowe to go deep tonight. He's a lefty, hitting a .214 ISO with a wOBA of .308. However, he's hit 33.3% of fly balls and line drives while smacking 54.5% of hard contact and a 15.2% barrel percentage over the last 30 days. Over the last month, Gallen has allowed a .255 ISO and wOBA of .430 to his previous 54 lefties. He's also earned just 18.5% of strikeouts against lefties in that time while allowing 31.6% of fly balls. Give Lowe a chance to hit a bomb tonight.
Alek Thomas to Hit a Home Run (+900) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
I'm going with another long shot. But that's where the value is. Alek Thomas burst onto the scene in the NLCS. He hit two home runs in the series and has an ISO of .267 against righties over the last month. Thomas will take on Nathan Eovaldi of the Rangers, who has allowed a .159 ISO and wOBA of .346 to his last 49 lefties. Eovaldi has also allowed 38.2% of line drives in the previous 30 days to lefties as well. Meanwhile, Thomas has slugged over 26% of fly balls and line drives with nearly 55% of hard contact. At +900, and with two home runs in his last four games, I'll take Thomas to go deep.
