There are many teams throwing out their No. 5 starters tonight! Therefore, we'll likely see plenty of fireworks across the league tonight.
Here are the three sluggers I'll be betting on to hit a home run to begin the week!
April 1 Best MLB Home Run Props
Vinnie Pasquantino to Hit a Home Run (+560) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The Orioles will send out Dean Kremer, a right-hander who struggled immensely against lefties last season.
Kremer allowed a .203 ISO and wOBA of .359 to 342 lefties faced. He also struck out just 20.5% of those batters and walked nearly 10% of lefties.
Meanwhile, he'll take on a Royals lineup with a powerful lefty in Vinnie Pasquantino, who is batting third.
Pasquantino hit a .216 ISO and wOBA of .338 with just 12.4% of strikeouts against righties last season. It's been a slow start for Pasquantino, with his .091 average. But it's not going to stay like that forever.
This could be the matchup to help break him out. Take Pasquantino to hit a homer.
Alec Bohm to Hit a Home Run (+600) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
There's some serious value with this prop.
Alec Bohm hit a .280 ISO with a wOBA of .389 against lefties last season. He also struck out just 14.7% of the time and barely walked, which proves he's up against lefties, aggressive, and smashing the baseball.
He'll face Andrew Abbott of the Reds, who allowed a .205 ISO and wOBA of .350 to 373 righties last season. Abbott struck out 26% of batters, but he was way better at earning strikeouts against lefties. Instead, he induced under 30% of ground balls against righties and allowed 35.3% of fly balls to righties.
Bohm has hit a .333 average to start the season. But he's still looking for his first home run. Tonight's the night!
Juan Soto to Hit a Home Run (+390) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Juan Soto is one of the few batters that has faced Ryne Nelson in the Yankees lineup. During his time in San Diego, he had 11 at-bats against Nelson. In those 11 at-bats, he slugged two home runs and had a 1.429 OPS against him.
Soto is a right-handed masher. He hit a .273 ISO and wOBA of .416 against righties last season. Meanwhile, Nelson allowed a .237 ISO and wOBA of .380 to 321 lefties the previous year.
Nelson struck out only 14% of lefties faced last year and allowed nearly 30% of fly balls and about 25% of line drives to lefties.
Take a chance on Soto at +390. He's already hitting .529 with the Yankees and has a home run for New York already this year.
