Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Monday

Let's start the week off right!

With 14 games on the MLB slate, there are plenty of pitcher props to choose from. I've added three of my favorite strikeout props for the night.

Reminder: There are some MLB games on during the afternoon. I'll touch on the later games to allow everyone to place their bets.

April 1 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Chase Silseth Over 4.5 K's (-115) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Last season, Chase Silseth struck out 25.5% of batters. While he walked 11.4% and still gave up a below-average ISO and wOBA, Silseth proved he could be a consistent Major League starter last year.

Silseth will go up against the Miami Marlins, who still have five targets for strikeouts in the lineup. The Marlins have five batters who struck out at least 24% of the time against righties last year.

That gives Silseth enough targets to reach his five strikeouts.

In Spring Training, he threw 13.1 innings and allowed just three runs on seven hits. He also struck out 15 batters, which was more than one strikeout per inning. That's got me excited. Let's back Silseth to earn at least five strikeouts tonight.

Ronel Blanco Under 4.5 K's (-128) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Houston's giving Ronel Blanco the ball for Game No. 5. He's not the ideal candidate to help the Astros get their first win.

Instead, he struck out just 23% of batters last season and allowed a .210 ISO and wOBA of .357. Blanco induced as many ground balls as fly balls allowed and also allowed 26.4% of line drives last season.

I bring that up because it's unlikely Blanco even gets through five innings.

The Blue Jays have five batters with above-average power against righties, and the team ultimately struck out just 18.9% of the time using the projected lineup and last season's stats.

Take Blanco's Under.

Kyle Gibson Under 3.5 K's (+116) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Let's take a chance on some plus-money action. Kyle Gibson struck out just 19.3% of batters last season. He struggled against lefties a little but ultimately kept his walks down and induced a high amount of ground balls.

He can induce as many ground balls as he wants. We just don't want him fooling any hitters. That said, the Padres only have a few bats that struck out at a heavy rate against righties last year.

One of the few was Fernando Tatis Jr., who also smacked a .181 ISO and wOBA of .319. There aren't many spots for Gibson to add a high rate of strikeouts.

We're taking his Under at +116.
