Colorado Rockies vs. Chicago Cubs Pick
1u - Both Teams To Score In The First 5 Innings (-135) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
This is a bet I see on both DraftKings and BetMGM. Under the “Innings” tab on either sportsbook you will see this an option. I like both teams to score at least one run in the first five innings. Normally, this market is juiced in the -160 or above range but this game has a lower total of just seven runs so we have a playable number.
Colorado Rockies vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction
Dakota Hudson faces a Cubs lineup that is 25-72 against him which is good for a .347 batting average against him. Guys like Cody Bellinger, Christopher Morel and Dansby Swanson are all great candidates to go deep on him which is good for one run from Chicago. This should be the easy leg but the other one is more interesting.
Pitching for Chicago is Shota Imanaga who has impressive strikeout stuff. With that being said, I expect him to have some jitters in his opening start in the MLB. Much like Yoshinobu Yamamoto for the Dodgers, I could see Imanaga hang a pitch or two and have it cost him. Colorado has gotten off to a slow start and have low expectations but they have some solid major league bats and trust their ability to score one measly run throughout five innings against a man's first ever MLB start. Let's roll!
