Well, we have another great slate today on the diamond and I am looking to follow up yesterday's sweep with another strong showing today. To kick things off, I want to head to the early game on the board as the Milwaukee Brewers (3-0) host the Minnesota Twins (2-1) in the home opener for the Brew crew and I like these squads to swing the sticks today.

Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

Brewers are fresh off an opening series sweep on the road at New York and while the Mets are quite terrible, that is momentum however you look at it. Home openers are always exciting a provide an extra spark for anyone; today they get a Minnesota squad short a man on the starting rotation so it is already a bullpen game for the Twins.

Louie Varland is the opener for the Twins sporting 6.30 spring ERA heading into this one. Normally I would give the nod to the home team here no questions asked but the problem is the Twins absolutely destroy Jakob Junis.

Four hitters in the Twins starting lineup (Carlos Santana, Byron Buxton, Max Kepler and Carlos Correa) are sporting slash lines north of .958 against Junis. Santana is .444/.545/.667, Buxton is .444/.500/.1.111 and Correa is .636/.667/.1.273!

Overall as a team, they are 30/74 with six walks and just eight strikeouts against him slashing .405/.450/.738 for a 1.118 OPS. I love the numbers, all these guys have to do is execute and not leave guys on base because there will be baserunners.
