Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Wednesday

We've got a lot of afternoon baseball on the schedule today.

However, I will still attack the later portion of the slate, so many of you can still tail along, even if you click on this article after some of the games begin.

Here are three strikeout props to consider for tonight's MLB slate.

Since last season, Mitch Keller has struck out 25.5% of batters. He's also walked just 6.7% of batters and earned 44.2% of ground balls while allowing just 25.5% of fly balls.

He's way better against right-handed hitters but actually has a higher strikeout rate against lefties.

That said, the Nationals' projected lineup has struck out 22.2% of the time between this year and last year. Four batters in the lineup have struck out at least 24.1% of the time against righties, and Keller figures to face those batters at least twice in this game.

I'm taking my chances with Keller tonight.

Using stats from last year and this year, Bassitt has only struck out 22.5% of batters in 824 plate appearances.

He's struck out 24.2% of lefties but just 20.8% of righties. In the Houston lineup, the Astros will have seven righties in the lineup. Those righties have also struck out just 20.9% of the time against righties dating back to last season.

Bassitt doesn't have much of an edge here. While he has more success against lefties, the two lefties he'd face are Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker. He'll have a hard time getting those two out. In previous seasons, Alvarez and Tucker have torched righties.

I'm on Bassitt's Under. He might not get through five innings.

Since last season, Tyler Glasnow has basically struck out one batter every three batters faced.

Tonight, he'll go up against a Giants lineup that has struck out nearly 24% of the time, dating back to last season. This lineup has five batters who have struck out at least 25.3% of the time against righties.

While Glasnow has only struck out eight batters in 11 innings to start the season, he's got a really good matchup against a free-swinging Giants team. If he keeps walks down against the Giants, he'll have a shot at earning double-digit strikeouts. It all depends on the pitch count.
