Well, we did well on the diamond with our lone play yesterday in an awesome come from behind victory in the Birds home opener. Tonight, we are heading to our nation's capital as the Philadelphia Phillies (2-4) are set to do battle with the Washington Nationals (2-4) and I like the Phillies to swing the sticks here today.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals Prediction

It's Patrick Corbin Day! We have not faded the southpaw yet this season but we will hear today in a prime spot against a squad that has knocked him around plenty in the past. Alec Bohm is slashing .364/.440/.773, J.T. Realmuto is slashing .344/.421/.594, Bryson Stott is slashing .400/.400/.700 and Kyle Schwarber is slashing .333/.475/.733. All four are slashing well over 1.000 against Corbin in their careers against him and the team itself is hitting .299/.389/.516 for a .905 OPS on a solid sample size of 147 at bats.

The Philly faithful expects much more than what they have seen out of there boys so far this season and now that Bryce Harper is finally swinging it this season, they are due for an explosion.

Washington hasn't been awful off the rip either, they are a young squad who I do not expect much from this season as a whole but improvement in expected and if they can tag Nola for a few the Phillies are likely to get after it. So I'm gonna double dipping here.
