April 7 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Dean Kremer Over 5.5 Ks (-128) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Dean Kremer only struck out 21% of batters last season.

In his first game this year, he struck out five batters in 5.1 innings against the Royals. That was 22.7% of batters after facing 22 of them in that game.

Today, he's got a lot of targets for strikeouts. I think he can get one more and maybe even get through six innings. The Pirates' projected lineup has struck out 26.2% of the time since last year against righties. Each player in the projected lineup has struck out at least 20.5% of the time, and seven of those batters have struck out at least 23.8% of the time against righties.

I'm backing Kremer's Over here.

Ryne Nelson Under 3.5 Ks (-108) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Last season, Ryne Nelson added just 15.9% of strikeouts after facing 648 batters.

This year, in his first start of the season, he struck out just 11.8% of batters and walked 23.5%. He lasted just 17 batters and gave up a wOBA of .469 with 54.5% of fly balls and 9.1% of grounders.

Today, he'll take on the Atlanta Braves, who are one of the MLB's best hitting teams. The Braves have hit a .220 ISO and wOBA of .362 against righties dating back to last year using their projected lineup.

Nelson might not last three innings against the Braves. Let's take his Under here.

Jack Flaherty Over 7.5 Ks (+118) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Last season, Jack Flaherty was lost. He struck out just 22.6% of batters and allowed a .161 ISO and wOBA of .361. But there's reason to believe that he's fully back this year.

Flaherty's first start for the Tigers was terrific. He went six innings and struck out seven against the White Sox. Yes, it was against the White Sox.

But now he's facing the Athletics, another really bad team on which he can rack up strikeouts.

Flaherty struck out 30.4% of batters in that first start. Today, he's taking on an Athletics projected lineup that struck out 27.1% of the time against righties since last season. Only Nick Allen has struck out less than 21.5% of the time against righties in this lineup.

That ultimately gives Flaherty eight targets for strikeouts. Take his Over.
