Sunday Night Baseball! I really love this time of the year - you have golf in the morning to late afternoon, a handful of late hockey games to usually choose from and Sunday night baseball every week. We have a great matchup this time as the the 2023 American League Championship Series rematch closes tonight with the Houston Astros (2-7) visiting the Texas Rangers (6-2) at Globe Life Field and I am expecting a fun finish.

HOUSTON ASTROS VS. TEXAS RANGERS PREDICTION

Jose Altuve and Houston are struggling bad, real bad, so far. Five games under .500 a week into the season is nothing to freak out about but we are talking about the House Astros, in this era with that roster 2-7 is absurd. They are going to be hungry and aggressive, they need to get the bats going in a hurry and they are likely licking their chops with this matchup. Dan Dunning has not been lucky in his career agains the Astros, they are slashing .309/.374/.501 against him and they tagged him for nine runs the last time they faced him.

On the flip side, the Texas bats have been hot and I expect them to remain that way. Not trying to brag about being right or anything but I bought in on two teams early last year (Texas and Baltimore) and was right, I have ranted and raved about this Texas lineup and stand by it. Not only are they incredibly talented, they are hungry and want to win. Amazing combination, I don't think they care much about Houston trying to right the ship.
