This is juicy but I like it. Although it makes me a little more nervous you could put Oakland's team total under at 4.5 too and reduce the juice more if you’d like. Detroit and Oakland have split the series thus far and I don’t expect Detroit to lose their first series of the year today.
Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction
On the mound for Detroit is Jack Flaherty. I really believe in his bounce back this season and his first start he dominated the strike zone. Oakland has failed to score 6+ runs all season and Detroit also features an outstanding bullpen that got some much needed rest yesterday.
Pitching for Oakland is Joe Boyle. He has a bright future but he struggled heavily in his opening start the season against Boston. He allowed eight runs in 2.2 innings. I don’t expect him to that bad today, but I think Detroit can put some runs on him unlike their ability to yesterday against Paul Blackburn. I considered Tigers -0.5 First 5 Innings but they have been scoring late in games thus far so this feels safer. Let's roll!
