Welcome back to the Daily Hit Parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. I have good news and bad news. Let's start with the bad. We lost our first OddsChecker Hit Parlay of the season yesterday. The Good News? We are 5-1 on the Parlays this season, and don't plan on losing another one all year (very realistic). Let's bounce back.
TUESDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: COREY SEAGER (TEX) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of this Hit Parlay is: Corey Seager. Seager and the Rangers play host to the Athletics tonight. Seager is only batting .423 at home this season...that's pretty decent I think.
Seager was great at home last year, batting over .300 as well as over .300 vs. Left Handed Pitching, which is great as he's scheduled to face Alex Wood, a lefty. Seager is 1 for 3 (.333) vs. Alex Wood, so there's some history there.
Even if he can't get it done vs. Wood, there will be opportunities vs. the Athletics bullpen. Seager is a usual suspect in these hit parlays, and he typically comes through. Let's hope today is no different.
Added Motivation: I will be at this game in Dallas. If he's 0-2, I will be chirping him telling him he needs to lock in. Corey will get the job done with my added support.
LEG 2: JUNG HOO LEE (SF) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of this Hit Parlay is: Jung Hoo Lee. Jung Hoo Lee and the Giants host the Nationals tonight.
Jung Hoo Lee has a hit in back to back games and we’re expecting 3 straight today. In his young career, he’s only hitting .238 but the style of his hitting is encouraging for hit parlays. He makes contact and doesn’t mind settling for a single base hits and not chasing home runs.
What we like most about him is his matchup. Today, Jung Hoo Lee faces Josiah Gray. Josiah Gray has allowed seven and eight hits in both of his starts this year, and really struggles to miss bats. Jung Hoo Lee bats leadoff for the Giants and is poised to start with a base hit. We need the first year player to deliver for us today, and I’ll bet he will. He's also 86th Percentile in Sprint Speed, so we have that on our side too if that's what it comes down to.
