Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Friday

Let's start the weekend off right by cashing in on a few strike-out props tonight.

With a 15-game slate and 30 starting pitchers, there are plenty of strikeout props to consider. I've got my favorite three below.

April 19 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Jack Flaherty Over 6.5 Ks (+116) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

With the Tigers, Jack Flaherty's strikeout rate increased from 22.6% to 25.3% to begin the year.

Flaherty has also limited walks to 3.8% and has earned 47.2% of ground balls when he's not earning strikeouts. All of this matters when betting on a pitcher to earn high strikeouts. We don't want any high-pressure situations or a bunch of walks that would increase a pitch count.

That said, Flaherty is taking on a Twins projected lineup that has struck out 26% of the time since last season. The Twins have six batters that have struck out at least 23.4% of the time against righties dating back to last year.

With six legitimate targets and eight batters who have struck out more than 21% of the time against righties, we'll take our chances with Flaherty.

Emerson Hancock Over 4.5 Ks (+100) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

I know Emerson Hancock isn't known for his strikeouts. However, to begin the season, he's struck out 25.9% of right-handed batters.

Hancock has struggled against lefties regarding strikeouts, earning just 10.3%. However, he's limited both sides of the plate to 3% walks and has allowed only 23.5% of fly balls when the ball is in play.

That said, Hancock will likely face a Rockies lineup that will have more righties than lefties. The Colorado lineup has already struck out 27.5% of the time against righties since last season, and the righties have been even worse, striking out 28.2% of the time since last season.

At +100, let's take a chance with Hancock for five strikeouts.

Yariel Rodriguez Under 3.5 Ks (+122) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Yariel Rodriguez earned 37.5% of strikeouts in his first start with the Blue Jays. However, he also walked 12.5% of batters and gave up a .286 ISO and wOBA of .408 to his first 16 batters.

Yes, he only lasted 16 batters and didn't get all of them out, either.

Tonight, he's in line to face a Padres lineup that has struck out only 18.3% of the time against righties since last season. Only Tyler Wade has a strikeout rate above 22.4% in this San Diego lineup.

While the Padres haven't hit for crazy power against righties, they'll at least put the ball in play and be patient with Rodriguez.

Grab his Under.
