Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction: Can Orioles Take Down Reid Detmers, Angels?

Took the day off yesterday, but we are right back at it here tonight and I want to kick things off on the diamond. The Baltimore Orioles (14-7) are on the west coast for a clash with the Los Angeles Angels (9-13), and I like this spot for the O's.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction

This line doesn't really mean much to me. Sure, Reid Detmers is off to a terrific start this season. The southpaw is 3-0 with a 1.19 ERA and is without question the best arm in Los Angeles' rotation. Detmers has honestly dominated against this lineup historically, and if I am being honest, I am going against myself here in a way. Normally I really trust my pitcher/hitter slips and listen when a guy is hot or cold against a team or vice versa, and Detmers has crushed this lineup. With that said, I think this a really good spot for some positive regression for these hitters against lefties, and a chance for Detmers to come back to earth a bit.

Baltimore has one of the best offenses in the league against left handed pitching, and has been a bit quiet by their standards against lefties this year, considering they can stack the lineup against him and really cause issues. I'm a little weary of Albert Suarez, but the Angels lineup really only has two guys you have to avoid. I like Baltimore at plus money.
