Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. I hope you all had a great weekend. The purpose of this article is to make you and I rich...it starts and ends with a two leg hit parlay that is going to do just that. Two players. Each to record a hit. Simple as that. Let's get to work for today.
MONDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: TREA TURNER (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Trea Turner. Trea and the Phillies face off against the Reds today. Trea has been great lately and has a hit in ten straight games. His season batting average is up to .348.
Today, Trea faces off against the hard throwing Hunter Greene. Against Greene, Trea is 5-9 batting .556. We have to trust the numbers on this one. Turner bats in the two spot and on the road he will have plenty of chances for a hit with nine innings of at-bats. Trea has been a trusted ally in the hit parlays this season. He will deliver when his number is called. Do your job, Mr. Turner.
LEG 2: BRYAN REYNOLDS (PIT) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Bryan Reynolds. Bryan, like Trea, has made his way into the hit parlay several times before and he's delivered each time. Story time: Yesterday, I took the OVER in the Red Sox vs. Pirates game. You want to know who didn't help me at all? Bryan Reynolds. 0-4. Thanks for nothing. You just know he's getting a hit first at bat.
Reynolds is batting .264 on the season. His .194 batting average at home tells me good things are to come. He's going to get pitches to hit. He will face the righty, Joe Ross, of the Brewers. Reynolds is 1 for 2 with a double against Ross. Let's hope he makes that 2 for 3! Reynolds is a switch hitter so we should always have the upper hand (no pun intended) while at the plate!
