This is a no-brainer to me. The Yankees lost 2-0 yesterday and I love backing the significantly better team to bounce back against one of the worst teams in baseball. Today features a great pitching matchup so each run will be massive.
Oakland Athletics vs. New York Yankees Prediction
On the mound for us is Marcus Stroman. I’m trusting Stroman to pitch a gem today against an Oakland team that has minimal at bats against him. Oakland bats are only 2-11 against him lifetime so I’m banking on the lack of familiarity against him to play into the favor of Stroman who is looking very solid to begin the year.
We need at least one run here and I expect Yankees bats to wake up today after being embarrassed yesterday. Paul Blackburn is a nice pitcher but is due some regression and eventually and this feels like the first game he comes back to reality. The Yankees bats are a lifetime 14-37 against him which is a .378 average. Blackburns ERA is currently in the ones but should even out eventually into the threes or fours. Give me Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and the crew to take out their frustrations today. Let's roll!
