Could you imagine if J.D. Martinez hit a home run in his first game of the season with the Mets?
It's totally possible.
J.D. Martinez has hit a .298 ISO and wOBA of .374 against his last 343 righties. Tonight, he'll be in the Mets' lineup to face Miles Mikolas of the Cardinals. Mikolas is a righty who has allowed a .231 ISO and wOBA of .378 to his first 54 righties faced.
All signs point to J.D. Martinez hitting a couple of bullets off Mikolas.
After all, Martinez has hit more fly balls than ground balls against righties and has also smacked 62.8% of hard contact with an 18.1% barrel percentage.

The Giants will pitch left-handed Kyle Harrison tonight. He's struggled against righties to begin the season.
