Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Sunday

Today's MLB slate features plenty of ideal spots for our strikeout props.

I've narrowed down my favorite selections to the top three strikeout props of the slate. Let's start off the new week with a bang!

April 28 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Bryce Elder Under 3.5 Ks (-108) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Bryce Elder will get his second start of the season. In his first, he went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs while giving up a .040 ISO to his first 26 batters.

However, in those 6.2 innings, he struck out 15.4% of batters and still allowed a .316 wOBA.

Elder should keep the power intact. However, the strikeouts likely won't be there. He's got a tall task going up against a Guardians lineup that has struck out only 18.5% of the time against righties since last season.

Since last season, only Estevan Florial and Bo Naylor have struck out more than 20% of the time against righties.

I'll go with the Under for Elder.

Jose Quintana Under 4.5 Ks (-148) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

While the Cardinals haven't hit lefties all that well since last season, St. Louis has still managed to keep strikeouts down. The projected St. Louis lineup has hit a .122 ISO and wOBA of .292 but has just a 19.5% strikeouts rate against lefties.

Meanwhile, Jose Quintana of the Mets has struck out only 17.4% of batters this season, a rate lower than last year's of 18.8%.

Quintana has also walked 12.2% of batters, which is nearly 5% more than last season. Walks typically help drive up the pitch count for starters.

Therefore, I'll ride the Under with Quintana's strikeout prop.

Pablo Lopez Over 6.5 Ks (-156) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Pablo Lopez will get the ball for the Twins today. Lopez is a right-handed ace who has struck out 27.4% of batters to begin the season. This is almost in line with last year's stats after he struck out 28.6% of batters last season.

Lopez has also kept his walks to 5.7% and will face an Angels lineup that has six batters striking out at least 23.6% of the time against righties since last year.

Meanwhile, the projected lineup has also walked only 7.7% of the time. Lopez should get through this Los Angeles lineup fairly easily today.
