Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Thursday

We went 2-1 with yesterday's strikeout props, missing out on the sweep after Luis Gil added only five strikeouts instead of six.

That said, we'll take the profit and look to add to it with today's small slate of MLB games.

There are six games on the slate, but only one matchup plays at night. Therefore, if you're looking to tail, make sure to get your bets in early!

May 2 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Edward Cabrera Over 6.5 Ks (-120) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Edward Cabrera will get the call for the Marlins today. The righty pitcher has struck out 31.3% of batters and has held teams to a .098 ISO and wOBA of .309. He's also induced 55% of grounders and has held teams to a 15% fly ball percentage.

He'll face a Colorado offense that has struck out 25.9% of the time against righties since last year. Colorado's lineup has also hit a .130 ISO against righties with just 6.4% of walks this last season.

Cabrera matches up well and should have a field day with strikeouts this afternoon.

Ben Brown Under 3.5 Ks (+130) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

The Cubs will throw Ben Brown against the Mets. Brown has struck out 23.7% of batters, which is slightly above average. However, Brown is in line to face a Mets lineup that has only struck out 21% of the time against righties since last year.

Only J.D. Martinez and Brett Baty have had high strikeout numbers against righties since last season. However, using stats from last season, Martinez is also statistically the Mets' best power hitter against right-handed throwers.

The Mets will want to tie the series at two before the weekend, which will likely force them to be a bit more aggressive. Let's take the Under for Ben Brown.

Logan Allen Under 3.5 Ks (+120) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

In the only night game, the Guardians will pitch Logan Allen against the Houston Astros. Allen is a lefty who has only struck out 19.1% of batters this season. He's also struck out just 18% of righties this year.

Meanwhile, Allen will face an Astros lineup that should have at least six righties. Houston has also struck out just 14.1% of the time against lefties since last year using the projected lineup.

I wouldn't be surprised if Allen had just one or two strikeouts against this lineup. Only Yainer Diaz has weak strikeout numbers against lefties heading into the night.
