Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Prediction
The Astros will send out Ronel Blanco to try and hold off the second series sweep against the Yankees. Blanco has been excellent for Houston this season coming into this game with a 2.09 ERA and recording 17+ outs in all six of his starts.
At this point of the season, Blanco ranks in the 94th percentile in xBA (.179), 89th percentile in xERA (2.48), and while some of his other advanced metrics project for regression its very hard to ignore the consistency he's provided for the Astros' pitching staff.
The New York Yankees aren't an ideal matchup but this will be their first time facing Ronel Blanco which he should be able to use to his advantage. At over 16.5 outs, I'm willing to take a chance on Blanco to continue to find success in a less than ideal matchup. Give me Ronel Blanco to go over his 16.5 pitching outs prop.
