Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. We've hit two straight parlays. If you've been reading the daily articles this week, hopefully we've made you some money. Let's end the week with a winning record and three straight winners!
FRIDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: ADLEY RUTSCHMAN (BAL) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Adley Rutschman. Few players are seeing the ball better than Adley. He now has a hit in 17 of his last 18 games, batting .318 on the season. Tonight, he returns back home, where I love to back him.
He will face off against the Righty, Brandon Pfaadt. Pfaadt is allowing a .347 batting average to lefties this season (only .193 to righties). As a switch hitter, Adley will bat lefty today, and it doesn't get much better than that. Additionally, Adley has performed very well against the pitches Pfaadt throws. He throws 34% 4-Seam, 30% sweeper and 22% sinker. Adley's expected batting average against those pitches is as follows: .379, .156 and .348. He hasn't seen a ton of sweepers this season, but I'm confident he gets ahold of one of them and gets us a hit.
LEG 2: SHOHEI OHTANI (LAD) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani and the Dodgers travel to San Diego to face the Padres today. While I like the Padres to potentially win this game outright, I don't believe it comes without a hit from Ohtani, one of the best hitters in the MLB.
Ohtani has a great matchup with Michael King today. Against King, Ohtani is 4-9 batting .444 against the righty. On the season, Ohtani is hitting a ridiculous .355 average. Batting in the two spot, Ohtani should see great looks because you don’t want to walk him with Freeman and Will Smith behind Ohtani. It’s Sho-Time as we ride with Ohtani tonight! He's been in the hit parlays plenty of times and typically delivers.
