Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Sunday

We've got plenty of baseball on the schedule tonight! I've got my eyes on many pitching matchups tonight, so I've added a few strikeout props for the 15-game slate.

May 12 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Bryse Wilson Over 4.5 Ks (+108) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

The Brewers will send out Bryse Wilson to face an ice-cold St. Louis Cardinals lineup. The Cardinals' projected lineup has hit a .155 ISO and wOBA of .322, which isn't bad. However, four batters have struck out at least 25% of the time against righties this season.

Meanwhile, Bryse Wilson has struck out 27.3% of lefties to begin the year. He's also held 115 batters to a .267 wOBA this season. The Cardinals will likely have more lefties than righties in the lineup. Those lefties have struck out nearly 22% of the time against righties, and Wilson has had major success against them this season.

Therefore, let's ride Wilson. If he goes five innings, he'll need a strikeout per inning, which looks doable from an analytics perspective today.

Michael Soroka Under 3.5 Ks (-126) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

I thought maybe the books would finally move Soroka to a line of 2.5 strikeouts. But they didn't, so we'll attack.

Michael Soroka has struck out only 11.6% of batters this season. He's also got a reasonably big sample size of 173 batters this season.

In addition, Soroka's pitch count continues to rise quickly in games because he's allowed 13.3% of walks and has given up a .230 ISO and wOBA of .371.

Soroka is in line to take on the Guardians' projected lineup, which has only three batters striking out more than 19.8% of the time against righties. Cleveland even has three batters that have struck out no more than 14.3% of the time against righties this season.

Soroka has had a miserable season this year. Look for that to continue against Cleveland.

Jose Urena Over 3.5 Ks (-125) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

This isn't so much about Jose Urena. It's more about the Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies have struck out 29.4% of the time against righties this season. Only Charlie Blackmon has struck out fewer than 23.1% of the time in this lineup.

Meanwhile, Jose Urena has struck out 16.7% of batters. That's nothing to get excited about. But even in Coors Field, Urena should get five innings of work. He's held teams to a .115 ISO and wOBA of .292 with 49.4% of grounders, which is crucial in Coors Field.

In addition, Urena has actually raised his strikeout rate from 14.1% last year to 16.7% this season. He's also added 16.7% of swinging strikes and has a whiff percentage of 31.6% against lefties.

Colorado should have at least a few lefties in the lineup against Urena. Let's back the Over.
