Can Blake Snell and the Giants dominate at home? Krabs explains his Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Francisco Giants prediction. Read on to find out his best bet for the game.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction: Can Blake Snell, Giants Dominate at Home?

Blake Snell got paid this offseason, but we have yet to see a vintage Snellzilla gem out of him in 2024. Tonight, he will be facing debatably the best offense in baseball, the Phillies. Will we see Snell return to his former Cy Young form on Monday, or will the Philadelphia Phillies bats get to the veteran lefty once again?

Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction

If we were going to see another dud of a start out of Snell tonight, the San Francisco Giants wouldn’t have gotten nearly forty cents of steam on the moneyline. The Phillies briefly opened up the betting favorite for this game, but with the total moving up from o/u 7.5 to o/u 8 and the Giants catching steam, I’m predicting some runs from San Francisco in the first game of this home stand.

Minus their loss on Sunday, the Giants have been playing solid baseball on the road. Winners of eight of their last ten games, I’m expecting the Giants to continue to stay hot against a right-handed veteran on Monday. Taijuan Walker is coming off some solid outings, but he’s been unable to pitch deep into games. The Giants have a significant advantage on the mound to start this game. It’s only a matter of time before Snell finds his confidence, and what better time than during this hot streak for San Francisco.

Blake Snell’s strikeout prop keeps inching up throughout the day. It is now at o/u 6.5, which is more than he’s gotten in a game this season. That’s a very high strikeout prop against the best offense in baseball, right? Personally, I think his strikeout line is that high for a reason. The Phillies strike out at a 26.5% rate against left-handed pitching. Coming off a series loss to the Rockies, don’t be surprised if Snell catches the Phillies lineup in a vulnerable state…

Considering Snell’s 11.40 ERA on the season, the Giants as (-130) favorites don’t look like the most appetizing bet against one of the best teams in baseball. That’s exactly the side we want to be on though. Fade the public, as more than 80% of the bets and handle (on VSIN) are currently backing the Phillies at plus-money. I’ll meet you at the cash counter after Blake Snell throws his first gem of the season.
