Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction
The Braves made a series of moves after Ronald Acuna Jr. was diagnosed with diagnosed with a torn ACL yesterday. Adam Duval will take over his duties in right-field and he mashed lefties. Sean Murphy will make his return behind the plate today in what will be just his second game of the season after rehabbing an injury.
Atlanta will also have Austin Riley back in the lineup as well after missing the last few weeks. Ozzie Albies will take over leadoff duties which is important here because he’s been one of the best hitters in the league against left-handed pitchers and there’s a good chance the Nationals won’t let Mitchell Parker face him a third time through the order today.
Parker has only exceeded 83 pitches thrown once this season and has surrendered at least three earned runs in three of his four outings this month. The weather today in Atlantas also favors hitters with temperatures in the high 80s and wind blowing out.
Expect the Braves to fair well against the southpaw and prevent him from pitching deep in this game. Give me the under 15.5 on Mitchell Parker’s pitching outs since it's a a number he’s failed to exceed in three out of his four road starts this season.
