Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Yesterday, Christian Yelich could not get the job done (but Freddie Freeman didn't even play, so it was a loser from the start). Let's get back on track. Here's our two favorite hitters of the day!
TUESDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: OZZIE ALBIES (ATL) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Ozzie Albies. With Acuña now out for the season, Albies has moved into the leadoff role. His main job is to get on base, and I love his spot against Jake Irvin and the Nationals. Albies is 1 for 2 against Irvin, very limited sample. Irvin has only walked eight batters in 57 Innings this year, so he will be giving Albies pitches to hit. I trust him in this spot.
Albies, just like most of the Braves, has been much better at home. He has a hit in three straight. Today, he makes that four.
LEG 2: LUIS ARRAEZ (SD) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Luis Arraez. Arraez is good at hitting the baseball. Expert analysis! He’s batting .333 on the season, and he looks to improve that average against his former team, the Marlins.
Arraez has a hit in three straight. He like Albies bats leadoff and will get plenty of chances to get the job done. Very low strikeout guy. He will put the ball in play. Luzardo will give him pitches to hit, and Jesus has been missing location a good amount this year, which is not a good thing when you’re pitching against an elite hitter like Arraez.
