I love the spot for Aaron Judge today vs. Tyler Anderson and the Angels.
The only true concern I see here is Judge getting walked a ton, which is a possibility but I don’t expect 2+ with how Stanton has been hitting this month.
Judge has 15 extra base hits over his last 13 games and is absolutely crushing the ball in May. He’s hitting .342 with a .539 ISO which is absurd. 16 of his last 18 batted balls vs lefties have been hit 94+ MPH exit velocity with 12 of 18 being hit 104+ MPH.
Anderson ranks in the 1st percentile in total barrels allowed which is what we like to see for a player like Judge. Anderson throws primarily chaneups and 4-seams to righties and Judge has .331/.289 expected avgs and .870/.692 expected slugging % vs these pitches (against lefties) this season.
I expect Judge to barrel one up and climb his total bases ladder in tonight's west coast battle.
