Many times this season I would fade a team and I was one game off, and I would watch the following game super annoyed. We took an outs prop against Detroit in their last game with Kikuchi and it backfired. Tonight I’m betting on the offense not having an elite offensive performance in back to back games, and I like Jared Jones here too.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction

Today is a double header between Detroit and Pittsburgh, and Jones gets the ball in Game 1. He will be facing off in a pitching duel against Skubal so he will be tasked with allowing minimal runs, even more-so than usual. Jones has hit this in seven of his 10 starts and Detroit has allowed this in seven of their last nine games to opposing starters.

Skenes will get the love and attention today, but Jones is a solid starter and has a bright future in this league. Pittsburgh is going to want him to go pretty deep to have bullpen arms ready for Game 2 of today's double header. Comerica is a pitcher friendly park and the weather here today isn’t going to be that warm or sunny, so the ball should stay in the park. This game has a total of 6.5, so I think we see a pitching duel. 18 outs and a dream, I feel good about this one to go up to 1.5 units. Let's roll!
