This is a NRSI I feel good about. Severino pitches better at home with a 2.00 ERA there and Montgomery is better on the road with a 2.70 ERA. We should see 10+ MPH winds blowing in the ballpark which should help keep the ball in play.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. New York Mets Prediction
We need the Mets to not lose by four or more runs here as well. Severino is coming off a great game where he pitched seven innings, and only allowed two hits and one run. I’m hoping he takes that momentum and continues to shove against an Arizona team that has been pretty underwhelming thus far.
Pete Alonso should still be out, which takes out a home run threat to hurt our NRSI and it’s likely we get to avoid Carroll, Marte, Nimmo among others who are nice bats. This game has a total of just seven, which is a great sign for our bet here. Six outs and a dream and then the Mets to just not get blown out, let's roll!
