The Colorado Rockies hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers from Dodger Stadium in a three-game series starting tonight. The Rockies are 5–5 over their last 10 games and are coming off back-to-back series wins against the Guardians and Phillies. Those series wins moved the Rockies to 20–35 on the season, as they are still in last place in the NL West.

COLORADO ROCKIES VS. LOS ANGELES DODGERS PREDICTION
They have been playing their best stretch of baseball over the last week, beating two of the best teams in baseball right now. They look to continue their streak against another one of baseball‘s best teams, the Dodgers.
The Dodgers are coming off a sweep against the New York Mets, which brought their season record to 36–22. They are in first place in the NL West and are only a few games behind the Phillies for the best record in the National League.
Tonight, the player I am looking at is Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon. Blackmon is the lead-off hitter for the Rockies and is a longtime vet of the MLB, joining the club back in 2011 and consistently being one of their best hitters with a career .294 batting average. Over his long career, he has seen the Dodgers pitcher for tonight quite a bit.
Walker Buehler is taking the mound for the Dodgers tonight. Buehler is 1-2 with a 4.26 ERA this season. He’s been with the Dodgers since 2017 and has pitched the tune of a 3.05 ERA over these seven seasons. Because both of these players have been in the same division for so long, Charlie and Walker Buehler have met many times.
Charlie Blackmon has a ridiculous 50 plate appearances against Walker Buehler. In those 50 plate appearances, Blackmon is hitting .362 with a 1.009 OPS against Buehler. Blackmon has dominated Bueller in his career and that should continue tonight.
Buehler has been absolutely abysmal against left-handed batters this season, posting a .395/ .422/.721 slashing line against left-handed batters. He has only allowed a .100/.182/.300 slashing line against right-handed batters. Of the nine extra-base hits Buehler has given up this season, seven of them have been to left-handed batters.
With Walker Buehler struggling against left-handed batters this season, and Charlie Blackmon dominating him for his entire career, I expect Blackmon to get at least two bases tonight in the series opener. Blackmon also almost always leads off for the Rockies, meaning he should get maximum plate appearances to get our two bases if need be. Blackmon has hit 2+ bases in his last three full games and I expect him to make it four in a row tonight.
