The Colorado Rockies travel to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers on Friday night and I have a longshot in this game that I really like. Dakota Hudson is on the mound for the Rockies and he will be tasked with going up against the best lineup in baseball in the Dodgers. One player in particular that I am going to target is Mookie Betts in a prop that I found over on Caesars.

Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
Dakota Hudson does not have the best advanced metrics as he ranks in the tenth percentile or lower in expected ERA, batting average, chase percentage, whiff percentage and strikeout prercentage this season. One thing he has done well, however, is that he is keeping the ball on the ground and ranks in the 92nd percentile in ground ball percentage.
A big part of this is his sinker that he throws the most of any pitch. He has only allowed five home runs this season, but I think that number will increase after today. This Dodgers lineup is very good and is second in home runs per game at home with 1.52 per game. Mookie also hits sinkers very well as he has three home runs in 46 plate appearances against that pitch with a .444 batting average and .722 slugging percentage against righties. Dodger Stadium is a very hitter-friendly ballpark so to get at over the odds I'm seeing on Mookie Betts at home is crazy value in my opinion.
The spot is also very appealing as the Dodgers return home after a road trip and Dodger Stadium should be rocking on a Friday night. Mookie has excelled on Fridays over the past two seasons especially at home. He has 12 home runs in 18 Friday home games in the past two seasons including three home runs in five games this season so far. I think we see this trend continue tonight and I don’t think Mookie Betts home run odds should ever be +575 especially at home. The value alone is worth a bet to me.
