This one is very simple, we need two runs and we have 15 outs to play with. Fading pitchers named Patrick has been a staple of betting on baseball the past few years, sorry Patrick Corbin.
SAN DIEGO PADRES VS. LOS ANGELES ANGELS PREDICTION
Patrick Sandoval has allowed 2+ runs in the first five innings in nine of his 12 starts. This has a 75% hit rate on the year and he finds a Padres team they just beat yesterday who definitely feel like they are the better team with the better bats. The Padres' bats are 12-37 against Sandoval which is good for a .324 average. Sandoval at home has worse splits with a 6.32 ERA over six starts.
The wind is going to be helping us tonight as I see winds blowing out for us. Any two run shot or better in the first five innings would get there for us, I’m also cool with doing it the old fashioned way keeping it in the park. I think this a number that shouldn’t be available and the bet should be 2.5, I see value here. Let's roll!
