WEDNESDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: JOSE RAMIREZ (CLE) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Jose Ramirez. Jose is batting .272 on the season and he has great chance to improve that average today. Jose will face Brady Singer, who he is 10 for 23 lifetime against. That’s a large enough sample size for me to trust Jose to deliver.
Jose has a hit in five of his last six games. Over the last 15 days, he’s batting .356. Outside of his matchup against Singer, I don’t fear any of the Royals relievers. I expect Jose to deliver early in this game and maybe even late. Like him for 2+ Bases too if you’re feeling bold!
LEG 2: ANTHONY VOLPE (NYY) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Anthony Volpe. A Yankee ruined the Parlay of the Day yesterday. Let’s hope they isn’t the case today with Volpe! Volpe is 2 for 4 in his history against Chris Paddack, who starts for the Twins today. He also has a hit in all 4 games against the Twins this year.
Volpe is batting .283 on the season, and sitting in front of Soto & Judge is going to give him a ton of pitches to hit. He has a hit in 25 of his last 26 games. At this point, we have to take our chances with Volpe getting the job done again.
