Heading back to the diamond tonight as the Los Angeles Dodgers open up their weekend series in the Bronx with the New York Yankees. Both teams are coming off of victories yesterday and in a battle of two of baseball's best and most historic franchises, bragging rights are up for grabs. The Yankees took the last series head-to-head last summer at Dodger Stadium.

LOS ANGELES DODGERS VS NEW YORK YANKEES PREDICTION
If I am wrong here, I will happily go down swinging. How often are you going to get one of the best teams in the league (and one of the best at home) on an eight game win streak at this price? I'll bite. Not a crazy travel day for the Dodgers as they were already on the East Coast but no travel at all for the Yankees so advantage pinstripes there. The Dodgers are 9-13 across their last 22 games, they still are not totally in stride here.
The Dodgers have the edge on the bump with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking the ball today but the Yankees lineup has been producing and Yamamoto has had some trouble in his most recent road starts. Cody Poteet has the ball for the Pinstripes and while he is not the best starter in this rotation by any means, he is throwing the rock well and the bullpen should pick up the slack if they need him too.
