This one is juicy but I like it for many reasons. We don’t need a first inning run from the Yankees, all we need is a hit. New York has the third most hits in the first Inning with 71 hits in 64 games, that’s good for over 1.1 hits per opening inning.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Yankees Prediction
They will be facing Yoshinobu Yamamoto from the Dodgers. The weird thing about Yamamoto is that he starts game very slow and then gets into gear after the first go at the lineup. Yamamoto has allowed a first inning hit in nine of 12 games this season, which is good for a 75% hit rate.
Putting our faith in Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and Anthony Volpe feels smart here. We just need at least a single from one of the boys. Yamamoto has been worse in night games and has never seen this lineup, so it should be his hardest matchup thus far.
The juice is massive but there’s not much to like today on this slate and I feel good about this one. Let's roll!
